Last time, when I have tried acpi modes (except -s5 - it works)
was long ago before 20021002, so may be my comments not directly related to=
=20
last changes.

It helps thanx

have tried acpiconf -s1 again

First time it successful stops system, screen shows static X picture, sleep=
 LED
lights RED (sleep mode).
Then after kbd event (sc kbd not USB) it awakes and continue to work.

no console messages.

Second time (just after first) it completely freezes notebook=20
(sleep LED not lights GREEN (not sleep mode))
still no console messages, no responce on try call DDB via conconsole

Then I have tried 'acpiconf -s3'

First time:

cs[0008] ds[0010] es[0010] fs[0018] gs[002f] ss[0010]

now it sleeps (sleep LED blinking RED (suspend mode))
I am awake it with power button:

Complete freeze (like powerdown, no LEDs light), not responds on power butt=
on.
Only possibility - to detach power cord and battery to reset notebook.=20
